Workshops for farmers
(and other
interested people)
We offer monthly workshops from March
through November on basic market farming skills.
Most
workshops include some classroom training and a farm tour.
Training is conducted by farmers and by extension specialists in order
to provide both theory and practice. Locations of workshops are
rotated around the metro area and farther afield in the Kansas City food
shed, in order to offer opportunities to visit a number of the areas
market farms. Workshops are scheduled to avoid conflicts with farmers
market schedules. Most of our workshops are held on Monday afternoons,
and a few are day-long.
2007 Workshops are complete.
